Let’s take care of your skin! These steps are crucial to make sure all the time you spent in the tattoo session is truly worth it. (ง๑ •̀_•́)ง
TL;DR (▰˘◡˘▰)
- Let your tattoo breathe—avoid tight clothing on the area.
- Don’t pick, scratch, or soak the area.
- Keep the skin balanced—not too dry, not too wet.

Removing the Bandage
- After 3-5 days, gently remove the bandage. Wash your hands before doing so.
- Taking the bandage off during a shower can help it peel away more easily. Remove it slowly, in the direction of hair growth (downward).
- Clean your tattoo thoroughly with running water and pat it dry using a clean paper towel.
- Do not re-bandage your tattoo. If the bandage comes off before 3 days, remove it completely, rinse the area gently with running water, and pat dry. Then apply a fresh bandage (You can get it at your local drugstore like CVS or Walgreens).

DO NOT pick at scabs or rub
- Do not pick at scabs or rub the treated area while it’s healing. This can cause infection or color loss.

Sunlight and Tanning
- Stay out of direct sunlight and tanning booths for at least 2 weeks.
- Over time, extreme sun exposure can fade your tattoo. Minimize this by using a strong SPF 50 sunscreen.

Avoid
- Avoid swimming, baths, hot tubs, pools, saunas, and jacuzzis for at least 2 weeks.
- Avoid the gym for at least 48 hours after; a week is recommended.
- Avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours post-tattoo, as it can increase bleeding and delay healing.
- Take cool showers to avoid scalding hot water, which can hurt the tattoo area and fade the ink.
- Avoid tight clothing and give your tattooed area space to breathe.

Healing Timeline
- Your tattoo should heal after 3 weeks.
- It’s normal for your tattoo to look a bit ashy or dull during the first 1–2 weeks, this is just new skin forming over the area as it heals.
- it’s normal for some excess ink to come out as it heals.
- If you notice severe redness, green/yellow discharge with a bad smell, or a fever, contact a physician immediately.
